Support for owners with sensitive Dogs

Over the past fourteen years Bertie Dog Training have specialised in working with sensitive and nervous-anxious dogs. Nij Vyas has also coined the term Passive Resistance which is discussed in detail in his book Sheepdog Training and Trials which has received complimentary reviews from across the world from both Border Collie owners and owners with other breeds. Passive Resistant dogs display stubbornness and often refuse to move, jump into cars because of perceived fear or phobia or a gain/advantage. We have learned to identify such dogs, developed techniques to combat the behaviour and have worked successfully with hundreds of satisfied owners. If you feel that that your dog fits the bill don't wait but call us now to discuss the matter further.

Support for dogs with sensitive Owners

Training dogs in obedience classes isn't everyone "cup of tea" and some people can find it difficult to train their dogs in front of other people. We do our best to keep our dog training lessons light hearted with a fun element and all members are made to feel welcome. If you find aspects of dog-puppy training difficult please ask for help rather than suffer in silence. Your dog's welfare is utmost in our minds and sometimes "tough love"  is called for rather than reinforcing fear or phobias in dogs.

If you disagree with elements that are being taught to you please discuss these with us rather than drop out as your dog will bear the consequences and ultimately you. We are always available for a chat in private, by email or telephone. Puppies, like children, don't stay young for long and it is important to enjoy the training experience. Our methods of training are broken down to enable clients to adopt them however some elements may still prove difficult, we understand this and there is no need to feel embarrassed. You and your dog will progress with our support.
